Topics In Australian Marine Science

TAMS is the core subject in the Master of Marine Science and Management program that is taught here at SIMS. TAMS is team-taught by scientists from the three SIMS’ partner universities: Macquarie University, University of NSW and University of Sydney.

You will be learning from the leaders in Australia’s marine science community and will be learning alongside your peers. You will be introduced to current research undertaken in Australia in various disciplines of marine science whilst using a range of tools to analyse the diversity of datasets collected by marine scientists and made available via the Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) Portal. This course establishes postgraduate students with a much needed practical introduction to statistical analysis of environmental data that covers large temporal and spatial scales.

Contact Dr Veronique Lago  (veronique.lago@sims.org.au) for all matters relating to the teaching of TAMS at SIMS for students from the three universities.
